The Merchandising Lead owns the ongoing health, performance, and merchandising readiness of active brands on the PBP platform. As a key brand relationship owner, this role proactively monitors performance, resolves issues, maintains catalog quality, and identifies opportunities to grow brands across PBP’s retail network.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Health, Performance & Growth
- Serve as an ongoing point of contact for brands, triaging inquiries, following up on outstanding items, and escalating operational or growth opportunities to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regular brand check-ins and performance audits to identify issues, opportunities, and required actions.
- Own brand performance reporting, providing visibility into performance, engagement, readiness, and growth opportunities.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for assortment expansion, retailer placement, promotions, campaigns, and partnerships.
- Prepare brands and products for retailer promotions and coordinate participation across internal teams.
Merchandising & Performance Management
- Monitor product pricing, costs, SKU representation, retailer adoption, inventory, and product performance.
- Maintain accurate SKU counts, product information, and merchandising inputs required for assortment planning, forecasting, and retailer opportunities.
- Coordinate resolution of issues related to pricing, inventory, product information, retailer inquiries, and other merchandising needs.
- Maintain internal systems as reliable sources of truth for brand and product information.
- Continuously improve merchandising workflows, documentation, and processes.
Catalog & Product Readiness
- Review brands and conduct SKU-level QA to ensure product information, pricing, operational details, imagery, and assets are complete, accurate, and retail-ready.
- Coordinate previews and catalog updates, seasonal launches, and product newness, maintaining line lists and launch calendars to ensure products go live accurately and on time.
- Execute product additions, edits, taxonomy, tagging, maker pages, and seasonal collections across PBP platforms and retail channels.
- Maintain consistent product naming, imagery, categorization, taxonomy, and merchandising standards across platforms.

Qualifications
- Strong background in retail and merchandising, including product assortment management and visual or digital merchandising.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills, with experience supporting brands and retailers and resolving inquiries effectively.
- Experience managing inventory, product availability, and accurate stock data in coordination with operations or logistics teams.
- Proficiency with retail or merchandising platforms, spreadsheets, and data analysis to monitor catalog performance and identify trends.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, tech-enabled environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate product information and collaborate across teams.
- Experience with e-commerce, marketplaces, or omnichannel retail is an asset; familiarity with AI-driven product discovery is a plus.
- Post-secondary education in business, retail management, merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Compensation & Benefits
Full-Time Contract (12-18 months)
Base Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 CAD
