We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to join our school community at Berry Creek Community School located in Cessford, Alberta. Our ideal candidate is passionate about student learning and achievement and demonstrates the flexibility to support a wide range of learning needs and abilities. The successful applicant will foster an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that inspires and motivates students through meaningful, creative, and stimulating learning experiences. Strong communication skills, collaboration, and a demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth are essential.
This is a part time (0.8 FTE) temporary position commencing on the first day of the 2026–2027 school year (August 24, 2026). This temporary position is to cover a maternity leave and will end upon the return of the permanent employee. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering the Alberta curriculum at the Grade 5/6 level. Preference will be given to applicants with an Elementary Education background and related training. Experience working within a multi-grade classroom environment would be considered an asset.
