Role Description The Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the London, Canada Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to grow transportation, warehousing, and logistics revenue, while maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers. Daily activities include prospecting and qualifying leads, preparing proposals and quotes, conducting client meetings and presentations, and negotiating contracts in alignment with company objectives. The Sales Manager will collaborate closely with operations and dispatch teams to ensure service commitments are met and customer expectations are exceeded. The role also includes monitoring market trends, tracking sales performance metrics, and providing regular reporting and forecasts to leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales or business development, ideally within transportation, logistics, or supply chain services.
- Strong skills in lead generation, relationship management, and customer retention, with a focus on building long-term partnerships.
- Ability to develop and execute sales strategies, including territory planning, pipeline management, and accurate forecasting.
- Competence in contract negotiation, pricing discussions, and closing deals that align with company goals and customer needs.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex service offerings clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Comfort with using CRM systems, productivity tools, and basic data analysis to track performance and inform decisions.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with capacity to prioritize multiple accounts and opportunities.
- Knowledge of transportation, trucking, warehousing, and logistics operations is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including operations, dispatch, and finance.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
