We have an opening for an experienced Project Coordinator on the Burnaby team.
Responsibilities:
Project Support
- Provide project support and coordination to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget.
- Effectively communicate with all project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain accurate project tracking and data entry.
- Manage municipal and 3rd party approvals (Utility Line Assignments, URWs, Joint Use, etc).
- Verify receipt of services procured to support payment of supplier invoices.
- Request cost quotations from internal design, material, and construction resources.
- Summarize and evaluate project financial outcomes at completion.
- Professionally interface with key external personnel including, clients, host utilities, approving authorities, and others as required to learn their requirements so that Primary can be compliant with them.
- Other duties as required.
Financial Support
- Prepare and enter invoicing in the accounting software.
- Complete billing and invoicing for various clients.
- Project administration, including the timely performance of administrative tasks to initiate, monitor progress, close, bill, and archive project files digitally.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of post-secondary education in business administration, project management, or accounting.
- Previous experience with Acumatica, or other Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) software systems is required.
- Experience working in the electric utility, or a related engineering/construction environment would be an asset.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Additional Assets:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, which include the ability to prepare reports, format documents, and draft official letters and correspondence.
- Ability to work within a deadline-oriented team environment, to prioritize work, and to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills.
