Java Full Stack Developer
Location: Montreal, QC
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week
Duration: 12 Months Contract

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Java Full Stack Developer to join our team in Montreal. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and relational databases.
The candidate should be comfortable working across both backend and frontend development and collaborating with technical teams to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack enterprise applications.
- Develop backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build responsive and user-friendly web applications using Angular and TypeScript.
- Work with relational databases and develop complex SQL queries.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend REST APIs and services.
- Participate in application design, development, testing, debugging, and production support.
- Follow best practices for coding, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Work closely with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and other developers.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to technical discussions.
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide effective solutions.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience in software development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Core Java.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
- Strong experience with Angular and TypeScript.
- Good experience with SQL and relational databases such as DB2, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD processes.
- Good understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
- Cloud experience with Azure or AWS.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar tools.
- Experience working in the financial services or banking domain is a plus.
Important Requirements
- 3 days onsite in Montreal, QC is mandatory.
- Candidates must be available for an in-person interview.
- Candidates should be authorized to work in Canada.
