Role Description
We’re looking for a hands-on and dependable Facilities Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance, safety, organization, and operation of our Oakville facility.
Working closely with the Facilities Manager and production teams, you will perform routine facility inspections, light maintenance and repairs, support 5S and housekeeping initiatives, and provide hands-on assistance across the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine facility inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Complete light repairs, including fixture adjustments, bulb replacements, patch painting, and general upkeep.
- Respond to maintenance requests and support external contractors and service providers.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized shop, storage, and common areas.
- Support 5S, housekeeping, waste removal, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and replenish PPE, cleaning materials, maintenance supplies, and other facility consumables.
- Identify and report facility hazards, equipment defects, and unsafe conditions.
- Assist with basic mechanical assembly, part preparation, equipment moves, facility changes, and other shop-floor activities.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, PPE requirements, and work instructions.
Qualifications
- Technical or vocational training in maintenance, mechanical, facilities, or a related field is an asset.
- 1-3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building services, industrial maintenance, or shop-floor support.
- Manufacturing or industrial experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring devices.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and experience performing minor repairs and maintenance.
- Familiarity with 5S, Lean, or continuous improvement practices is an asset.
- Dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication skills with a positive, hands-on approach to supporting the team.

Salary Range: $55,000-$68,000 per year
