Job Description
ProxyLink is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support Agile delivery teams and help drive successful technology and business transformation initiatives. The Scrum Master will provide Agile leadership, coaching, facilitation, and subject matter expertise while ensuring teams follow effective Scrum practices and continuously improve their delivery performance.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with Agile teams in complex technology environments, with a solid understanding of Scrum, business analysis, DevOps, CI/CD, stakeholder management, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Scrum Master and Agile subject matter expert, providing guidance on Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and project delivery standards.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
- Coach and mentor Scrum teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement.
- Support teams in becoming self-organizing, collaborative, accountable, and high-performing.
- Identify, track, and remove impediments and blockers that may impact team productivity or delivery commitments.
- Facilitate collaboration between development teams, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Promote a safe and productive working environment and support conflict resolution within Agile teams.
- Work closely with Product Owners to maintain, refine, prioritize, and manage product backlogs.
- Assist in translating business requirements into well-defined epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
- Facilitate requirements gathering, business process analysis, gap analysis, and solution discussions.
- Support current-state and future-state business process modelling using BPMN, process flow diagrams, and other appropriate techniques.
- Track and analyze Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown, sprint performance, cycle time, and team capacity to identify improvement opportunities.
- Capture sprint feedback, retrospective outcomes, decisions, action items, and lessons learned.
- Prepare and maintain Agile training materials, project delivery documentation, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Provide training and workshops to teams and stakeholders on Agile methodology, Scrum practices, and effective delivery approaches.
- Support DevOps teams and processes, including CI/CD pipelines, release planning, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Work collaboratively with technical teams using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, and other Agile/DevOps platforms.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and recommending practical improvements.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through effective communication, facilitation, negotiation, and consensus building.
- Ensure Agile delivery practices remain aligned with organizational standards, project objectives, and business priorities.
Required Skills and Experience
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- PMI-ACP, Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or similar certification is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of Scrum methodology, Agile principles, and business analysis frameworks.
Agile & Scrum Experience
- Demonstrated experience working as a Scrum Master supporting software development or technology delivery teams.
- Proven ability to lead Agile ceremonies and implement Scrum principles effectively.
- Strong experience coaching teams on Agile practices, self-organization, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Experience identifying and removing impediments and resolving team-level delivery challenges.
- Experience working with Product Owners to manage and prioritize product backlogs.
- Strong understanding of Agile metrics, including velocity, burndown, sprint capacity, and delivery performance.
- Experience facilitating retrospectives and converting team feedback into measurable improvement actions.
Business Analysis & Process Skills
- Strong experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business requirements.
- Ability to translate business requirements into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, process documents, and delivery requirements.
- Experience with business process modelling, including current-state and future-state process analysis.
- Proficiency with BPMN, process flow diagrams, workflow analysis, and gap analysis.
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and develop practical recommendations.
- Strong understanding of the relationship between business requirements, product backlogs, technical solutions, and Agile delivery.
DevOps & Technical Environment
- Hands-on experience working within DevOps environments and supporting CI/CD processes.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is an asset.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle practices and the interaction between development, testing, operations, and deployment teams.
- Previous software development or technical delivery experience is considered an asset.

- Experience removing impediments and driving continuous improvement.
