PSC Group is seeking a Maintenance Planning Support professional to join our Maintenance & Engineering team.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning maintenance work to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. You will develop detailed job plans, coordinate required resources, manage the maintenance planning backlog, and work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and contractors to ensure maintenance work is planned and executed effectively.

- Support the development and implementation of an SAP-based maintenance planning and scheduling workflow that mirrors and improves upon the site’s current Excel-based process.
- Review the existing maintenance planning process and translate key activities, statuses, responsibilities, and information requirements into SAP.
- Assist with configuring and establishing practical workflows for work requests/notifications, planning, backlog management, scheduling, execution, and work completion/closeout.
- Support development and standardization of SAP planning practices, including work order information, job plans, labour requirements, materials, services, permits, tools, and other required resources.
- Assist with development of procedures, work instructions, process maps, job aids, and training materials for the new maintenance planning process.
- Develop clear guidance defining roles and responsibilities within the planning workflow.
- Support testing and refinement of the SAP workflow prior to and during implementation.
- Deliver and support training for Technical Advisors, Maintenance Planners, Maintenance personnel, and other applicable users.
- Provide hands-on coaching during rollout and assist users with transitioning from the existing Excel process to SAP.
- Identify workflow gaps and recommend practical improvements to improve planning quality, backlog visibility, scheduling, and execution.
- Support other maintenance planning improvement activities as required.
Qualifications

- 3+ years of relevant maintenance planning, maintenance systems, or industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM) and maintenance work management processes.
- Experience developing or improving maintenance planning and scheduling workflows.
- Practical understanding of the maintenance work process from initial work identification through planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
- Experience developing procedures, work instructions, or training materials.
- Comfortable delivering training and providing hands-on support to users with varying levels of SAP experience.
- Strong Excel skills and ability to understand and translate an existing Excel-based process into a structured SAP workflow.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a chemical, manufacturing, refining, or other industrial environment is preferred.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.

- Experience with SAP PM implementation, optimization, or maintenance workflow development.
- Experience supporting a transition from Excel/manual maintenance planning tools into a CMMS.
- Experience developing process maps, SOPs, training packages, and user guides.
- Experience training Operations, Maintenance, and Technical personnel.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, backlog management, job planning, scheduling, and maintenance KPIs.
