The Deer Valley Difference
Deer Valley offers a truly unique experience for ski instructors and those wishing to become ski instructors. One of the last ski-only resorts in North America, our commitment to excellence and attention to detail set the industry standard for guest service. Team
Our leader is Rob Sogard, a 40-year PSIA member, past PSIA National Team member and coach as well as an examiner and education chair member. Our team is made up of over 600 instructors. Many have returned for more than 5 seasons and many more have over 15 seasons. The majority of our lessons involve children and families and being able to connect with guests of all ages is key to being a successful instructor.

Relationships define what we do. Personal engagement among our staff and with our guests defines our philosophy for teaching and guest service. We expect the best from each other, we hold ourselves to high standards as well as supporting our coworkers throughout the company in a shared effort to provide exceptional guest experiences.
Training
As a PSIA Member School, we offer extensive paid and voluntary training options. We have a large training staff that includes many PSIA and International Examiners and Clinicians and offer something for everyone. Reimbursement and wage increase for successful completion of Alpine certification levels.
