Operations & Inventory Coordinator
Pure Carbon Diamonds (PCD)
Vancouver, BC | Full-time | In-office
$55,000–$62,000 per year
About the role
Pure Carbon Diamonds is a Vancouver-based wholesale diamond and jewellery company serving independent jewellery retailers across Canada.
Founded in 2020, PCD has grown from a focus on lab-grown diamonds into natural diamonds, bridal and finished jewellery. We’re a small, entrepreneurial company in a fast-changing industry, and we’re currently investing heavily in better systems, stronger processes and a more scalable way of operating.
We’re looking for a full-time Operations & Inventory Coordinator to become an important part of that next stage.
This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys keeping things organized, accurate and moving.
You’ll help manage the flow of inventory and orders through our business, including purchasing, receiving, inventory control, consignment, shipping, returns and reconciliation.
More importantly, we’re looking for someone who takes ownership.
If a shipment is delayed, you notice and follow it through. If inventory doesn’t reconcile, you investigate why. If something has been sitting with a customer or vendor longer than expected, you follow up.
You shouldn’t need someone standing over you with a list of reminders.
What you’ll do
• Maintain accurate inventory records across physical and digital systems.
• Assist with regular inventory counts, audits and reconciliations.
• Track inventory in our office, with vendors and on consignment with customers.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and follow them through to resolution.
• Process purchase orders and vendor transactions.
• Receive incoming diamonds, jewellery and components and verify them against orders.
• Maintain product and inventory information in our systems.
• Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments.
• Prepare domestic and international shipping documentation.
• Track shipments through delivery and proactively resolve delays or exceptions.
• Maintain accurate memo and consignment records.
• Regularly reconcile customer consignment inventory.
• Help implement new systems, workflows and operational processes.
• Identify opportunities to make the business more organized and efficient.
Who we’re looking for
We’re less concerned about a particular degree or industry background than finding the right kind of person.
You’re likely someone who:
• Is exceptionally organized and detail-oriented.
• Naturally follows up rather than waiting to be reminded.
• Can manage many open tasks without losing track of them.
• Is comfortable with spreadsheets and business software.
• Learns new systems quickly.
• Communicates clearly when something needs attention.
• Takes responsibility and follows problems through.
• Enjoys improving processes rather than simply accepting how things have always been done.
• Likes knowing that things are under control.
Experience in inventory, wholesale operations, purchasing, logistics, consumer products, jewellery, watches or similar industries is helpful, but diamond and jewellery experience is not required.
We can teach the industry to someone with the right operational mindset.
Growth
This is not intended to be a dead-end administrative role.
For the right person, there is a genuine opportunity to take increasing responsibility as PCD grows and develop toward an Operations Manager position.
Application question:
- Tell us briefly about a time you noticed something wasn’t being handled properly and took responsibility for fixing it. What did you do?
