Qualicare Homecare is looking for compassionate, caring, and reliable individuals to join our family as Personal Support Workers/Caregivers. As a Personal Support worker, you will not only be looking after the clients, you will be a part of an amazing team, that promotes a culture of recognition, appreciation, respect, leadership, learning, and ongoing support.
We are looking for a few Personal Support Workers to provide care for our client in their home that is bed ridden and uses a hoyer lift. Must be comfortable using hoyer lift on own. We are looking for 3-4 psws to divide the following shifts throughout the week:
Shifts:
Mondays:
8:00am-10:00am
12:00pm-2:00pm
7:00pm-9:00pm
Tuesdays:
8:00am-11:00am
3:00pm-9:00pm
Wednesdays:
9:00am-3:00pm
7:00pm-9:00pm
Thursdays:
8:00am-11:00am
3:00pm-9:00pm
Fridays:
8:00am-10:00am
12:00pm-2:00pm
7:00pm-9:00pm
Saturdays:
9:00am-1:00pm
4:00-9:00pm
Sundays:
8:00am-10:00am
12:00pm-2:00pm
7:00pm-9:00pm
Responsibilities
- ADLs
- Meal Preparation
- Light Housekeeping
- Shopping and errands
- Medication Reminders
- Using Hoyer lift to transfer client
- Provide companionship to clients
- Ability to follow a care plan
- Documentation/Charting
Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker Certificate
- Hoper lift experience a must. Must be comfortable using it on own in client's home.
- Current CPR/First Aid training
- Current Police Record Check or Vulnerable Sector Screen or be willing to obtain one.
- Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Access to the internet/mobile phone.
- Reliable and Experienced
