WAGE RANGE:
$34.59/hr (Minimum) to $39.02/hr (Maximum)

Queensway Carleton Hospital is recruiting Registered Practical Nurses for multiple opportunities across our clinical teams. Applicants may be considered for one or more available positions and may be asked to identify their preferred clinical area during the application process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide comprehensive, quality patient- and family-centred care to meet the identified needs of patients of varying complexity with predictable outcomes and manageable responses.
- Apply the knowledge, skill and judgment required to provide safe, evidence-based nursing care within the RPN scope of practice and level of competency.
- Practice in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario standards, QCH policies and procedures, and the standards of care applicable to the assigned clinical area.
- Demonstrate QCH values of collaboration, accountability, innovation and respect.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Registered Practical Nurse diploma.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand, interpret and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
- Ability to work effectively within nursing and interprofessional teams.
- Demonstrated computer competency.
PREFERRED:
- One year of recent experience in an acute care setting.
- Experience with clinical documentation in an Electronic Health Record.
- Membership in the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario and associations related to a nursing specialty.
- Experience as a preceptor.
- Additional qualifications may be required or preferred based on the clinical area.
