Quarry Worker
Tomlinson is seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our Materials Group as a Quarry Worker. This hands-on role supports the daily operation and maintenance of the crushing plant through equipment operation, general labour, housekeeping, and maintenance activities. The successful candidate will be safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and willing to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment while contributing to the efficient production of aggregate materials.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Make sure crusher is in working order
Operate Skid Steers
Work quickly, efficiently and safely to fix problem when crusher shuts down
Daily check of crusher, grease the Canica, change grease cartridges
Clean the jaw and cone crushers
Clean screens and hoods
Clean around the crushing plant
Measure, count and change screens
Shovel under crusher
Shovel Canica deck
Clean tools
Put scrap away
Prepare tools and equipment for maintenance
Perform maintenance on equipment when plant is shut down
Miscellaneous jobs assigned by Quarry Foreman
Operate rock truck and loader as required
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid G-Class driver's licence.
- Ability to perform physically demanding manual labour.
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand tools.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced quarry environment.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous labour, construction, quarry, or heavy equipment experience is an asset but not required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Noisy and dusty environment
- Rough (bumpy) driving conditions
- Typical work day is 10-12 hours with occasional weekend and night shift requirements
COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The expected salary range for this position is $25.00- $30.00 per hour. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
