Role Description The Project Coordinator – Construction is a full-time, on-site role based in Burnaby, BC. This position supports project managers and site supervisors in planning, organizing, and tracking wall and ceiling construction projects from start to completion. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating schedules, preparing and updating project documentation, assisting with material orders and deliveries, and maintaining accurate records for budgets, change orders, and progress reports. The role involves liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and in line with quality standards, as well as assisting with RFIs, drawing reviews, and site-related administrative tasks. The Project Coordinator also helps monitor project milestones, supports compliance with safety procedures, and contributes to continuous improvement in project execution.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated project coordination skills in construction or a related field, including scheduling, documentation, and supporting project delivery.
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications, with attention to detail in technical and architectural requirements.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with capability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with common office and project tools (e.g., MS Office, Excel, project management or construction software) and accurate data entry skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Understanding of construction safety practices and willingness to follow company and regulatory safety standards on-site.
- Post-secondary education in construction management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in wall and ceiling construction, drywall, framing, or related trades is an asset; prior work with commercial or complex projects is beneficial.
Salary Range
$75-85K annually plus health and dental benefits. Company computer and cell phone.
