Rangeland Engineering is seeking a Fire Protection Specialist with strong knowledge of NFPA standards and practical experience with firewater and deluge systems for oil and gas facilities, storage terminals, and related industrial infrastructure.
The role includes assessing existing installations, developing design criteria, performing or reviewing hydraulic calculations, and supporting the design of firewater distribution loops, pumps, storage, hydrants, monitors, and deluge systems. Responsibilities also include reviewing vendor packages and coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, and regulatory authorities.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience applying relevant NFPA standards, evaluating fire protection requirements and system capacity, and developing practical solutions for new facilities and brownfield upgrades. Professional engineering registration or a relevant fire protection qualification is an asset.
