Role: Python Developer
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3–4 days onsite per week)

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with a strong banking or financial services background to build and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based data processing and ETL pipelines.
- Perform feature engineering to support credit risk, fraud detection, and customer analytics.
- Implement data cleansing, validation, and quality monitoring processes.
- Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Develop and maintain APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Python development experience; 7 years preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Python, pandas, and NumPy.
- Experience with data processing, ETL pipelines, feature engineering, and data cleansing.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Experience with banking, financial services, or fintech.
- Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and data quality practices.
- Understanding of banking products, transaction processing, and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ML deployment and MLOps.
- Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or Python visualization libraries.
- Knowledge of software design patterns and Agile/Scrum.
