What is the opportunity?
Join RBC's IT Change Management team as an Enterprise Change Enablement Manager and drive the modernization of our IT change processes. You'll balance tactical template management with strategic transformation, reviewing and approving Standard Change Templates while championing automation, agile frameworks, and capability investments. This role is pivotal in evolving IT Change Management into a streamlined, change enablement function that reduces operational toil and enables seamless execution. You'll coach the user community, support product ownership, and deliver performance analytics that quantify efficiency gains and guide continuous improvement across the organization.
What will you do?
- Review, validate, and approve/deny Standard Change Templates (SCTs) against compliance, technical risk, and operational impact standards
- Conduct annual SCT renewals to assess health, viability, and continued eligibility; determine modifications or retirements
- Partner with Change Review Boards and support Enterprise CAB and Low-Risk queues to ensure IT change processes are effective, efficient, and well-understood
- Coach and educate the IT change management user community on change record quality and compliance with Enterprise IT Change Management Procedures
- Collaborate with development teams on product roadmaps, requirements, and user adoption initiatives through training and documentation
- Drive strategic evolution of IT Change Management into a change enablement function by championing automation, agile frameworks, and operational optimization opportunities
- Develop business cases for modernization and capability investments; identify opportunities to support ITSM process improvements
- Establish and track KPIs, quantify toil reduction and efficiency gains, and provide performance dashboards and data-driven insights to leadership
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2-4 years of experience in IT Change Management or operational technical roles
- Detail orientation and quality assurance mindset with strong organizational and time management skills
- Technical risk assessment and impact analysis capabilities
- Customer service, teamwork, and stakeholder management experience
- Performance analytics and data interpretation skills
Nice to Have
- ITIL Certification
- Knowledge of infrastructure technologies (Host, Network, Database, Desktop, Middleware)
- Strategic thinking and process modernization experience
- Experience with ITSM tools and agile transformation initiatives
