Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time role responsible for driving growth and expanding Real Living Estates Ltd.’s portfolio of managed rental properties. Based in Calgary, AB, this hybrid position combines on-site work with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day tasks include identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with property owners and investors, and presenting tailored property management solutions. The role involves conducting market research, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new clients. The Business Development Manager will also track performance metrics, provide regular reports, and contribute to strategic planning to support sustainable business growth.
Qualifications
- Proven business development, sales, or account management experience in real estate, property management, or a related field.
- Strong skills in client relationship management, negotiation, and presentation, with the ability to communicate value propositions clearly.
- Experience in market research, lead generation, and pipeline management using CRM or similar tools.
- Solid organizational, planning, and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Comfort with hybrid work arrangements, including in-person meetings in Calgary and remote collaboration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are an asset.
- Understanding of rental property operations, local market dynamics, and basic financial concepts (e.g., revenue, ROI, pricing models).
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., MS Office or Google Workspace) and willingness to learn company-specific systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and to uphold inclusive, ethical, and non-discriminatory business practices.
