Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance activities across a multi-company environment. This role works closely with operational teams and senior leadership to deliver accurate financial information, strengthen reporting processes, and support key business decisions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, proven leadership experience, and the ability to drive improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting across multiple entities
- Develop consolidated budgets and forecasts in partnership with operational teams
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Financial Reporting team
- Review financial results, variance analysis, reconciliations, and complex accounting transactions
- Oversee compliance reporting and ensure information is accurate and delivered on time
- Consolidate financial statements and manage intercompany and elimination entries
- Lead the transition of financial reporting systems and support reporting enhancements
- Present financial results and key insights to senior leadership
- Strengthen internal controls and support annual audits and related requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes, and overall financial operations
Your strengths include:
- CPA designation with 7+ years of progressive accounting and leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and ASPE accounting standards
- Experience in multi-company reporting, consolidations, and intercompany accounting
- Strong financial modelling, analytical, and reconciliation skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong financial systems knowledge
- Experience with internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work across all organizational levels
- Experience with NetSuite, SAP Business One, Solver, or similar systems considered an asset
- Oil and gas or construction services experience considered an asset
