Our client is seeking a Project Manager to oversee residential and multi-family construction projects from initial planning through completion. This role is responsible for coordinating project schedules, trades, suppliers, inspections, budgets, and site activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and to established quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong residential construction experience, excellent project coordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To
- Manage residential and multi-family construction projects from start to completion
- Coordinate project schedules, trades, suppliers, and inspections to meet key milestones
- Track job costs, project progress, and construction activities using BuilderTrend or similar software
- Monitor project timelines, quality, safety, and overall workmanship
- Coordinate permitting and inspections with the City of Edmonton
- Forecast labour and material requirements to support project schedules
- Build strong relationships with trades, vendors, inspectors, and other project stakeholders
- Resolve project challenges and keep work progressing according to plan
- Maintain accurate permits, construction logs, and project documentation
- Manage multiple active projects while maintaining timelines, budgets, and quality expectations
Your strengths include:
- 5+ years of experience managing residential construction projects, ideally within multi-family or custom home construction
- Strong knowledge of residential construction practices, sequencing, and building codes
- Experience with BuilderTrend or similar construction management software
- Familiarity with City of Edmonton permitting, approvals, and inspections
- Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively
- Trade background or post-secondary education in Construction Management considered an asset
- Valid driver's license and personal truck required
