Vice President, Finance

Reporting to the CFO and serving as a key member of the leadership team, the Vice President, Finance will provide strategic and operational leadership for the organization’s global finance function.
This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, planning, controls, taxation, treasury, and compliance while providing timely financial insight that supports business strategy, sustainable growth, and informed decision-making. The successful candidate will lead a global finance team and partner closely with executive leadership, Operations, Commercial, and other functional leaders to align financial priorities with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the global finance function, including financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, taxation, compliance, and financial governance.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial reporting, analysis, and insight to the Board, executive leadership, lenders, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee global consolidated reporting, annual audits, bank reporting, and financial oversight across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
- Lead the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function, including budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, financial modelling, and performance analysis.
- Provide financial insight and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Establish and maintain an effective global financial control environment, including policies, approval authorities, segregation of duties, and financial governance practices.
- Manage the company's cash flow and liquidity, including cash management, investment governance, debt management, and foreign exchange risk management.
- Ensure compliance with tax, legal, and regulatory requirements, including transfer pricing and global reporting obligations.
- Serve as the finance leader responsible for the ongoing maintenance, optimization, and continuous improvement of the global ERP system.
- Partner with Operations, Commercial, and executive leadership to evaluate investments, growth opportunities, pricing decisions, and other strategic initiatives.
- Lead, develop, and support a high-performing finance team by setting clear expectations, fostering accountability and engagement, providing regular coaching and feedback, and managing performance to achieve objectives.
Candidate Experience
While no individual will embody every quality, the successful candidate will bring many of the following professional qualifications and personal competencies:
- Recognized accounting designation (CPA).
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 10-15 years of progressive finance experience, including significant senior leadership experience.
- Experience in global operations, manufacturing, or a similarly complex business environment.
- Experience leading consolidated reporting, audits, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, taxation, and financial controls across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
- Strong understanding of enterprise-scale global ERP systems and the ability to lead finance system optimization and adoption.
- Advanced financial modelling, analysis, and reporting capabilities, including strong proficiency with Excel and enterprise reporting tools.
- SAP experience is considered an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost accounting principles.
- Strategic and commercially minded, with the ability to connect financial results to business priorities.
- Demonstrates sound judgment, integrity, discretion, and accountability.
- Builds trust and productive relationships across Operations, Commercial, and corporate functions.
- Communicates complex financial information clearly to financial and non-financial audiences.
- Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making capabilities.
