2630 BILINGUAL Payroll Specialist (French/English)
Location: Mississauga
Office: Hybrid - 3 days in office.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000
MUST HAVE:
- Bilingual: Fluent French/English
- minimum 2+ years large, full-cycle payroll experience (national)
Summary
We are currently seeking a Bilingual Payroll Specialist (FRENCH/ENG) for a hybrid role at our client’s Mississauga office. In this role, you will supporting end‑to‑end payroll activities from hire to retire, handling calculations of wages, tax withholdings, and deductions.
Abbreviated Responsibilities
• Full-cycle payroll processing for employees across multiple locations / provinces.
- Ensure accurate calculation of earnings, taxes, statutory deductions, and company benefits.
- Process new hires, terminations, transfers, and employee changes in accordance with deadlines.
- Review payroll reports for accuracy and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records in the HRIS/payroll system.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders.
- Support year-end processes, including tax forms and reconciliation activities.
- Assist the Payroll Manager on projects, audits and special requests from internal and external stakeholders.
Experience
• Strong verbal/written communication: English and French - REQUIRED
• Certified Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation - REQUIRED
• 2+ years of large, national payroll experience
- Comfortable with manual data entry / payroll processes including processing new hires
• SAP an asset (EC & ECP).
- Ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization.
- Ability to respond calmly under pressure situations.
- MS Excel (VLOOKUPs & Pivot Tables.)
- Expert knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, payroll tax requirements and employment standards.
