Referment is working with a Canadian property and casualty insurance brokerage. This hybrid personal-lines sales role advises customers on their insurance needs, develops new business and strengthens existing client relationships across products such as motor, home and recreational-vehicle cover.
You will combine regulated insurance advice with consultative selling. The work spans needs analysis, policy reviews and renewals, cross-selling, prospecting and insurer negotiation, with responsibility for both customer outcomes and sales performance.
The Role
- Understand customers' personal insurance needs and recommend suitable cover.
- Review and adjust existing protection, including policy changes and renewals.
- Promote complementary personal-lines products where they improve a customer's overall cover.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities within the existing client base and prospect for new business.
- Negotiate policy terms with insurer partners and maintain current knowledge of their products and underwriting guidance.
- Build referral relationships with business partners and centres of influence.
- Work within the brokerage's compliance requirements while contributing to individual and team sales goals.
What We're Looking For
- A valid Quebec AMF personal-lines damage-insurance licence.
- Confident consultative sales and customer-service skills.
- The ability to analyse insurance needs and explain appropriate options clearly.
- A disciplined approach to compliance, policy administration and follow-up.
Relevant Desirable Experience
- Previous insurance-brokerage experience.
- Knowledge of insurer markets and brokerage-management tools.
- Bilingual French and English capability.
This could suit a licensed personal-lines broker or insurance sales adviser who enjoys combining customer advice, account development and proactive new-business activity.
