Status: Contract Full Time Up to 15 Months
Hiring Range: $105,754 - 118,974 per annum plus comprehensive benefits
Work mode:Hybrid - A minimum of two days per week on-site is expected, with additional in-person presence as operational needs evolve.
Location: 9 Wellington Street East, Brampton & various locations across Peel Region for outreach work at schools and community groups
Hours of work: 35 hours per week

Our buildings are our largest artifacts. The site is made of historic buildings: the Peel County Courthouse and Jail, the former Registry Office, and the Modernist Building.
What you will do in this role:
The Supervisor, Development & Marketing is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of fundraising, sponsorship, donor relations, marketing, membership, rentals, and volunteer programs that support PAMA’s strategic objectives.
This leadership role drives earned revenue, enhances PAMA’s public visibility, engages donors and members, and manages key relationships across the community.
Development & Fundraising
- Lead the Development team and oversee PAMA’s fundraising, sponsorship, donor relations, and membership programs.
- Develop and execute PAMA’s fundraising strategy to grow financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
- Cultivate and steward major donors, sponsors, and partners to support revenue targets and institutional priorities.
- Manage annual giving, corporate/foundation giving, grants, and special fundraising initiatives, ensuring compliance with CRA regulations.
- Oversee donor and membership databases, ensuring accurate records, acknowledgements, renewals, and reporting to leadership and the Advisory Board.
Marketing & Communications
- Lead the development and implementation of integrated marketing strategies to grow attendance, visibility, and earned revenue.
- Oversee brand management, marketing campaigns, digital channels (website, social media), and promotional materials.
- Partner with Communications and internal teams to ensure consistent messaging, accessibility compliance, and high‑quality audience engagement.
- Approve key written materials such as reports, sponsorship proposals, media releases, and business cases.
Stakeholder & Community Engagement
- Build strong relationships with donors, funders, sponsors, community leaders, and business partners to advance PAMA’s goals.
- Liaise with the Friends of PAMA Advisory Board on fundraising planning and community engagement initiatives.
- Represent PAMA with professionalism and diplomacy in community and stakeholder meetings.
Facility Rentals
- Oversee the strategic direction and operations of PAMA’s revenue‑generating facility rentals program.
- Manage contracts, coordination with internal teams, and vendor relationships to ensure excellent service and cost‑effective operations.
Financial & Strategic Management
- Develop and manage the annual budget for the Development & Marketing section, including cost forecasting and financial reporting.
- Oversee grant and sponsorship applications, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and compliance with funder requirements.
- Manage designated funds including reserve, deferred, and endowment funds.
Leadership & Team Management
- Recruit, coach, mentor, and supervise a diverse team of development, marketing, and administrative professionals.
- Foster a collaborative, high‑performance team culture aligned with PAMA and Regional values.
- Act as Duty Manager on a rotational basis and participate in emergency response protocols.
What the role requires:
- University degree specializing in Fundraising Management, with at least 5 years of experience in a related fundraising, development, and/or marketing role.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
- CFRE designation preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising in the not‑for‑profit/cultural sector.
- Knowledge of Canada Revenue Agency regulations for charitable giving and tax receipting.
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to evaluate information and improve or redesign programs.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and donor management databases.
- Strong problem‑solving and judgement skills.
- Excellent time‑management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays as required.
