Cardinal Creek Residence is a brand-new long-term care Home in beautiful Orléans, Ontario, featuring 134 private rooms and 90 shared rooms designed around dignity, warmth and comfort. We are seeking a compassionate, relationship-focused Executive Director who leads with empathy, integrity and accountability. In this role, you will bring a strong commitment to teamwork, meaningful relationships and person-centred care, always seeing the person before the task.
The Heart of Your Role
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations or designate, you will provide overall leadership for the daily operations, resident experience and strategic direction of Cardinal Creek Residence.
As the Home’s leader and spokesperson, you will foster a culture where residents, families and team members feel known, valued, supported and safe. You will champion a relationship-focused approach to care by moving beyond task-based interactions and encouraging meaningful connection throughout the Home.
You will support and empower your team while providing strong operational and financial leadership. You will also ensure that the Home’s policies, procedures and practices meet all applicable legislative, regulatory and industry requirements.
As the Home’s Privacy Officer, you will oversee privacy practices, support effective risk management and help balance compliance requirements with the day-to-day needs of the Home.

Wage Rate:
The starting annual salary is $150,000.

Qualifications:
The qualifications needed to lead the Cardinal Creek team includes:
- Post-secondary degree from a program that is a minimum of three (3) years in duration or a post-secondary diploma in health or social services from a program that is a least two (2) years
- Completed or enrolled in a long term care administration management course that is at least one hundred (100) hours in duration of instruction time.
- Proven management experience in LTC
- Knowledge of basic accounting
- Knowledge and previous experience using electronic health record
- Working knowledge of computer applications, labour relations and applicable legislation
- Has at least three (3) years working experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity in the health or social services sector or in another managerial or supervisory capacity (any field) if he or has successfully completed the long term care administrator or management program.
- Or must have held an Administrator position at a different LTCH without meeting the updated qualifications set out in the Regulation, on the condition that the person has had (3) years of full-time experience in the position during the (5) years immediately before being hired at the different LTCH or the equivalent part-time experience in the position during the (7) years immediately before being hired at the different LTCH.
- Has a strong understanding of organization-wide information practices, both internal and external flow of information, data collection tools and the information system.
- Knowledge of applicable privacy legislation, especially the Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (“PHIPA”), privacy expectations and information privacy technologies, in order to ensure that the Home is up-to-date and compliant with current and emerging requirements and standards.
- Knowledge of privacy practices, concepts, trends and issues, as well as an understanding of their impact on business processes.
- Expertise in the interpretation and communication of principles and compliance requirements.
- Experience in managing complex projects.
