The Role
Revv52 is looking for a Business Manager to lead the administrative and commercial side of our organization. The role splits roughly evenly between organizational administration, financial management, and working alongside the Board's Marketing and Development Committees. Our goal with this position is to reduce the volunteer labour currently performing these activities, while improving effectiveness. You'll report to the board while working in close partnership with our Artistic Director, who leads all creative and musical programming.
This newly created part-time (expected 0.4 FTE) position has a primary focus for the Revv52 performance season from September - May. The exact balance of these responsibilities will settle over the first several months, shaped by Revv52’s requirements and your strengths.

- Ensure progress is communicated frequently and regularly to the Board, the Committees and to the broader membership as required.
- Work closely with our accounting and bookkeeping firm, using our electronic systems, to ensure the ongoing accuracy of payables and receivables, and compliance of our accounting records for year-end and charitable filings.
- Create and oversee the draft budget, and once approved provide monthly financial reporting to the Board.
- Be the prime interface for the administrative needs of all suppliers.
Marketing & Development, with the Board Committees (~40%)

- Assist the Board in managing and developing our donor programs and events.
- Develop corporate and media sponsorships.
- In collaboration with the Marketing Committee and external marketing specialists, oversee the implementation of the annual marketing plan, with a focus on growing brand awareness and concert ticket sales, and enhancing the effectiveness of traditional and digital marketing channels.
- Provide direction and support to Marketing Committee members involved in volunteer activities.
- Working with the Board and Artistic Director, identify collaborations that could provide unique opportunities, including new performance venues, festivals, etc.
What You Bring
- Proven ability to coordinate and manage a diverse group of contractors and volunteers; above all we are looking for a strong administrator who has proven experience in developing and reporting on a plan, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and monitoring and ensuring the completion of activities.
- Comfort managing a budget, working with financial systems, managing contractors, and coordinating volunteers.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
An arts, entertainment, event coordination or non-profit background is highly desirable.
