Rijk Zwaan is a family-owned fruit and vegetable breeding company. We develop improved fruit and vegetable varieties and sell our seeds to vegetable growers all over the world. CROP AND RETAIL SPECIALISTS At Rijk Zwaan we treat our customers as partners, which is why we devote a lot of time and effort to sharing knowledge. We have a sizeable network of knowledge and contacts within the global vegetable sector. In addition to our numerous crop specialists, we also have an international chain team who understands retail and sales. This enables us to help retailers and other chain partners to ensure year-round availability of a high-quality product.

R&D AT RIJK ZWAAN - WHERE GROUNDBREAKING IDEAS MATTER In order to develop new varieties and supply top-quality seeds, continuous innovation is essential. 40 percent of our colleagues is involved in research and development, and we invest around 30 percent of our annual turnover in R&D. The research departments of Rijk Zwaan use state of the art knowledge and technology to support our breeders in the efficient creation of new varieties. To achieve this goal, we continuously strive to enhance our expertise in basic plant biology, molecular analysis and data analysis.
