Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist role based in Rosenort, MB. The CNC Machinist sets up, programs, and operates CNC machines to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include selecting tooling, loading materials, monitoring machine operations, and adjusting settings to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish. The role involves inspecting parts, performing basic maintenance on machinery, documenting production activities, and working closely with supervisors and other team members to meet quality and production targets. The CNC Machinist is expected to follow safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
Qualifications
- Ability to operate CNC and related machinery, with demonstrated skills in Machine Operation and general Machinery handling.
- Proficiency in Machining processes, including setup, tooling selection, and Milling operations for precision components.
- Experience with Quality Control, including measurement, inspection, and verification of parts against drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established safety protocols.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a production environment.
- Relevant technical training or apprenticeship in machining or manufacturing; prior CNC experience is an asset.
