Role Description
The Certified Dental Assistant will support dental providers in delivering high-quality patient care during a variety of clinical procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, assisting with chairside procedures, ensuring proper sterilization of instruments, and maintaining accurate patient records. The role involves educating patients on oral care practices, helping with dental radiographs, and organizing clinical supplies to support efficient operation of the practice. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Riverside Dental in Drumheller, AB, and may include some front-office support and collaboration with the broader care team to ensure a positive patient experience.
Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Clinic hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No evenings or weekends

Qualifications
- Strong clinical support skills in Dental Assisting, including chairside assistance and patient preparation.
- Knowledge of Dentistry and Dental Care procedures, with a focus on quality and patient safety.
- Ability to educate and support patients in Oral Care, including home care instructions and preventive guidance.
- Proficiency in Sterilization and infection control protocols, following regulatory and practice standards.
- Current certification as a Dental Assistant and eligibility to practice in Alberta.
- Experience with dental radiography and use of dental software is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient comfort and team collaboration.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with attention to detail and professionalism.
