About the Role: RMI LLP is seeking an experienced and driven Assurance Intermediate-Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This is an ideal role for a soon-to-be designated professional with strong technical expertise, a client-focused mindset, and a passion for Assurance work.
Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Delivery
- Complete review engagements and audits in accordance with Canadian ASPE, ASNPO, and/or IFRS standards where applicable
- Ensure engagement quality, risk management, and timely delivery of services
- Provide value-added insights and recommendations on files
- Participate in personal tax season if current engagements allow for it
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as a point of contact for clients
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships through proactive communication
Technical & Compliance Excellence
- Stay current with changes in accounting and auditing standards and regulations in Canada
- Provide technical guidance to more junior team members when needed
- Ensure adherence to firm policies and professional standards
Qualifications:
- CPA designation (CPA Canada) preferred, but is not required
- Minimum 3+ years of public practice experience, with significant Review engagement experience
- Strong knowledge of Canadian auditing and accounting standards (CAS, ASPE, IFRS, ASNPO)
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities
- Experience working with privately held businesses and/or not-for-profit organizations is required
