Role Description The Automotive Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Roseland Motors in Burlington, ON. This role involves performing routine vehicle inspections, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and carrying out scheduled maintenance and repair services. Day-to-day tasks include oil changes, brake service, suspension work, tire rotation and replacement, and general vehicle maintenance. The Automotive Technician will use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment, follow manufacturer and shop guidelines, document all work performed, and communicate clearly with service advisors to ensure accurate estimates and customer satisfaction. The role also includes maintaining a clean and safe work area and participating in ongoing training to stay current with Volkswagen and general automotive standards.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in general Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for a variety of makes and models.
- Hands-on experience with routine services such as Oil Changes and related fluid inspections.
- Proficiency in Automotive Repair, including troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues.
- Ability to diagnose and repair Suspension components and related systems.
- Completion of automotive technician apprenticeship or relevant technical program.
- Valid automotive technician certification or licensing as required in Ontario.
- Comfort using diagnostic tools, service manuals, and repair software.
- Attention to detail, safety-focused work habits, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous experience with Volkswagen or European vehicles is an asset.
Pay range $50-150k annual depending on skill level and certification
