Department/Unit/Program Description
The Environmental Services Department strives to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The duties of the department are carried out to the highest possible standard in accordance with infection prevention and control best practices.
Position Summary
The Environmental Services Department is currently seeking a Temporary Part-Time Environmental Services II team member.
Effective Date: October 5, 2026
Ending on or Before: February 27, 2027
Essential Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and co-operatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public
- Demonstrated high level of communication, organizational and time management skills
- Must be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting, pushing, pulling and periods of bending/stooping
- Must have, or be willing to successfully complete training in a number of required competencies including CPI, WHMIS, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping/groundskeeping experience in a health care setting or similar institution
Hours of Work
Rotation of eight (8) hour day, evening and night shifts Monday through Sunday. Shifts and hours may vary according to departmental requirements and as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
