Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with the client's systems engineering and project management plans.
- Manages a project's scope, schedule, and budget in accordance with company policy.
- Provides leadership and direction in complex railway upgrade projects and resolves issues involving the design of multiple stakeholders.
- Ensures the technical deliverables are distributed to the correct resources by facilitating design review processes.
- Provides a holistic picture of the status of all systems that comprise the project and ensures their developments are coordinated.
- Leads and chairs meetings and workshops with project stakeholders, clients, and third-party companies.
- Manages a risk register and ensures critical issues are escalated throughout the business.
- Maintains strong communication with stakeholders, clients, and the project team.
- Researches and develops business cases on areas that need improvement within a client organization.
- Fosters strong communication channels with stakeholders, clients, and project team members to ensure alignment and address concerns proactively.
Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering.
- Experience in managing projects in complex multi-threaded environments.
- Minimum of seven years of experience in railway projects.
- Strong understanding of international railway standards.
- A Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is required.
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
- Business development skills, including writing technical content, RFP responses, and proposals, are considered an asset.
The annual compensation for this role ranges from $105,000 to $140,000, with the final salary determined by the candidate’s relevant education, experience, skills, and qualifications.
