Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Care Nurse
Position Summary:
Russell Tobin is seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join Ambulatory Care teams across British Columbia. The RN will provide safe, patient-centered care in outpatient and same-day care settings, conducting assessments, administering medications and treatments, supporting procedures, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in patient condition.
- Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care in ambulatory and outpatient settings.
- Administer medications, treatments, IV therapies, and other nursing interventions as required.
- Assist with diagnostic tests, procedures, and minor interventions.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, follow-up care, and health management.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational standards.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and quality care protocols.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition or clinical emergencies.
- Support efficient patient flow and ensure continuity of care from assessment through discharge.
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in British Columbia (BCCNM).
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Recent experience in Ambulatory Care, Outpatient, Clinic, or Acute Care settings.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient-care skills.
- Experience with medication administration, treatments, procedures, and patient education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
