Licensed Practical Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Care Nurse
Position Summary:
Russell Tobin is seeking experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support Ambulatory Care teams across British Columbia. The LPN will provide safe, patient-centered care in outpatient and same-day care settings, assisting with assessments, administering medications and treatments, supporting procedures, and collaborating with RNs, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care in ambulatory and outpatient settings.
- Perform patient assessments and report changes in patient condition to the appropriate healthcare professional.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other nursing interventions within LPN scope of practice.
- Assist with diagnostic tests, procedures, and treatments as required.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures and escalate concerns promptly.
- Provide patient and family education regarding medications, treatments, follow-up care, and health management.
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in British Columbia (BCCNM).
- Diploma in Practical Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Recent experience in Ambulatory Care, Outpatient, Clinic, or Acute Care settings.
- Strong patient assessment, clinical, and documentation skills within LPN scope of practice.
- Experience with medication administration, treatments, procedures, and patient education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Commitment to patient safety, infection prevention, and professional nursing standards.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
