Position Summary
Russell Tobin is seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) for Correctional Health Services across British Columbia. This opportunity allows nurses to provide high-quality healthcare services within correctional facilities while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient well-being and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide direct nursing care to inmates within correctional healthcare settings.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions as prescribed.
- Monitor and evaluate patient health status and respond to changes in condition.
- Manage acute and chronic health concerns, including mental health and addiction-related issues.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and allied healthcare teams.
- Promote health education, disease prevention, and wellness initiatives.
- Adhere to infection prevention, safety, security, and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Minimum one year of recent nursing experience in acute care, corrections, emergency, mental health, or related settings.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in secure and fast-paced healthcare environments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
Compensation & Travel Benefits
- Pay Rate: CAD $51 - $64 per hour

- Schedule: Full-time hours; Day, Evening, and Night shifts based on facility requirements
