Position Summary
Russell Tobin is seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) for an Emergency Room (ER) assignment at Sechelt Hospital, British Columbia. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a fast-paced emergency care environment, providing high-quality patient care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with urgent and emergent health conditions.
- Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Assist in emergency procedures, trauma care, and resuscitation efforts.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, allied health professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed clinical documentation.
- Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room (ER) or Acute Care nursing experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization abilities.
- Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced emergency care environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
