Title: HR Generalist
Schedule & Location: Onsite - Windsor, ON N9V 0B8
Pay Rate Range: $30 - $35 Hourly
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HR professional to support day-to-day human resources operations within a manufacturing environment. This role will work closely with the CFO, President, and management team and will be responsible for recruitment, employee relations, compliance, health and safety, WSIB, and HR administration. The position reports directly to the CFO and will also provide backup support for weekly payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day HR activities and provide support to management and employees.
- Handle full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Support employee separations and termination processes in accordance with company policies and employment legislation.
- Manage health and safety and compliance-related activities.
- Own and manage WSIB-related responsibilities and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and other applicable employment requirements.
- Provide backup support for weekly payroll for approximately 205 employees across three local sites, including 25 salaried employees.
- Work closely with the CFO and President on HR matters, employee issues, and organizational needs.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Support employee engagement activities, including job fairs, team lunches, and other company events.
- Partner with management on employee relations and workplace matters.
- Use ADP for HR and payroll-related activities.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of HR experience in a generalist or similar HR role.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of the Employment Standards Act (ESA).
- Experience with recruitment, hiring, and termination processes.
- Knowledge of health and safety and workplace compliance requirements.
- Experience managing WSIB responsibilities.
- Familiarity with ADP.
- Basic understanding of payroll processes and willingness to provide backup payroll support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work closely with senior leadership, including the CFO and President.
- Willingness to participate in company events, job fairs, team lunches, and other employee activities.
