Job Summary – Registered Nurse (ICU)
The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, high-acuity care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. The RN monitors complex patient conditions, administers advanced treatments, manages life-support equipment, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to respond effectively in fast-paced emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver critical care to ICU patients
- Monitor hemodynamics and complex conditions
- Administer IV meds, drips, and blood products
- Manage ventilators and life-support equipment
- Respond to emergencies and codes
- Document care and collaborate with the care team
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
