Position Summary
Russell Tobin is seeking experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for an Ambulatory Care assignment in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. This opportunity offers the chance to provide high-quality outpatient nursing care while supporting patients through assessment, treatment, education, and care coordination in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Ambulatory Care setting.
- Perform patient assessments, monitoring, and documentation.
- Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations as prescribed.
- Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and minor procedures.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed clinical documentation.
- Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Minimum of one year of recent Ambulatory Care, Outpatient, Primary Care, or Acute Care nursing experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
- Experience administering medications, treatments, and supporting outpatient procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
