Position Summary
Russell Tobin is seeking experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) assignments across British Columbia. This opportunity offers the chance to work in acute care hospital settings, providing high-quality patient care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients within Medical-Surgical units.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in health status.
- Administer medications, treatments, and prescribed therapies within LPN scope of practice.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Provide wound care, dressing changes, and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatments and recovery plans.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed clinical documentation.
- Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Minimum of one year of recent Medical-Surgical, Acute Care, or Hospital nursing experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment, organization, and patient care skills.
- Experience with medication administration, wound care, and post-operative patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Position Details

- Schedule & Shifts: Full-time hours; Day, Evening, and Night shifts based on facility requirements
