Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) Position Summary: Russell Tobin is seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) for Medical-Surgical units across British Columbia. This opportunity offers the chance to work within acute care hospital settings, delivering high-quality patient care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients within Medical-Surgical units.
- Conduct patient assessments, establish care plans, and evaluate clinical outcomes.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and prescribed treatments.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in health status.
- Deliver pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, allied health professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery, and discharge processes.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed clinical documentation.
- Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Minimum of one year of recent Medical-Surgical or acute care nursing experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization abilities.
- Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
