Role Description
The Maintenance Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based at the Anjou, QC facility. This position oversees daily maintenance activities for production and packaging equipment, building systems, and utility infrastructure to support continuous and safe operations. Responsibilities include planning and assigning work to maintenance technicians, prioritizing corrective and preventive maintenance tasks, and ensuring timely completion of maintenance and repair activities. The Maintenance Supervisor monitors equipment performance, coordinates troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues, and collaborates with production and quality teams to minimize downtime. The role also involves maintaining maintenance records, managing parts inventory, supporting compliance with food safety and health and safety regulations, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, workload prioritization, and performance monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance and general maintenance & repair in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance planning, scheduling, and implementation for production and facility equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and automation issues to quickly identify and resolve root causes.
- Experience in food manufacturing or a regulated environment (e.g., HACCP, GMP) is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance documentation.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to safety and quality standards.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Diploma or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical or electrical engineering technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Comfortable working on-site in Anjou, with occasional flexibility for overtime, shift coverage, and emergency service calls.
