Are you
organised, detail-oriented, and someone who enjoys making sure everything is
exactly where it should be? We're looking for a Stock Controller to help
keep our warehouse running efficiently by ensuring stock is accurate, ready for
dispatch, and available when customers need it.
You'll be the vital link between Sales, Manufacturing, and Logistics, providing real-time stock visibility, supporting order fulfilment, and helping deliveries leave on time.
What You'll Be
Doing
Receiving
- Prioritize rapid turnaround of
received stock to ensure immediate availability for dispatch.
- Ensure finished goods received from
production are checked according to the production sheet and signed for by
both authorised personnel.
- Ensure you have correctly capture as
per DFG into Palladium.
- Ensure correct QC on labels is done.
- Received returned stock into
quarantine and checked for damages, quantity & BB Dates.
Stock
Integrity
- Manage and reconcile daily counts and
full stock counts.
- Investigate and resolve stock
discrepancies.
- Monitor expiry dates and stock
rotation.
- Perform daily cycle counts.
- Ensure all daily counts are
reconciled by end of the day.
- To be fully familiar with the layout
of the warehouse to be able to locate stock items.
- Maintain FIFO principles.
Warehousing
- Support dispatch by ensuring stock is
accurately picked, packed, and ready for delivery schedules.
- Check stock picked is correct
according to SO.
- Assist with converting the checked SO
to invoice, delivery note and a copy tax invoice.
- Ensure that all shelves, passageways,
bins, and stock is always clean.
- Operates warehouse handling equipment
and ensures that the SOPs are followed.
Good Warehouse
Practice
- Ensure warehouse is cleaned according
to food safety standards.
- Responsible for the housekeeping and
stock.
- Ensure all other ad hoc duties are
carried out.
- Provide a safe working environment,
adhering to Health safety procedures.
Administration
- Ensure physical stock and bin
locations balances with system.
- Ensure all putaways are done on a
timeless and accurate manner.
- Ensure all items are allocated to a
bin on the MRP system and is accurate.
- Handle and manage all stock
transfers.
- Removing all damage,
obsolete stock from the shelves.
Requirements
- Matric with Mathematics and English.
- Any degree/diploma that can reflect
studies supporting to administration.
- 1–3 years of experience with
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
- 1–3 years of experience in the
logistics environment.
- A valid unendorsed driver's licence
and own transport will be advantageous.
- Demonstrated strong administration
skills.
- Warehouse working awareness,
understanding the process and identifying/targeting opportunities would be
advantageous.
- Customer service experience.
- Valid Code 08 Driver's Licence
recommended.
