SADL is a long standing cooperative initiative of several research groups of the Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences of KU Leuven. The overall topic is the Geographic Information Science and Technologies (GI S&T) and their applications for physical land management and socio-economic assessments.
SADL paves the way to transfer and validate research expertise and results in civil society. To this end, research projects are conducted and scientific consultancies are performed for public authorities and industry. Moreover post- and para-academic educational and training programmes are offered. This set of activities is completed by participation in more fundamental research programmes and academic education so that a seamless transition is possible between theory and applications.
