Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Scaffolders role based in Calgary, AB. Scaffolders will assemble, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures in line with project specifications and safety regulations. Daily tasks include interpreting drawings, selecting appropriate components, securing structures, and performing inspections to ensure stability and compliance. The role involves working at height and in potentially confined spaces, coordinating with site supervisors and other trades, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Team members are expected to follow all Safe Access Scaffold procedures, use personal protective equipment correctly, and participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in scaffolding, including safe erection, alteration, and dismantling of scaffold systems.
- Competence in working at height and use of fall protection systems, with current training or certification where applicable.
- Ability to work safely in confined spaces, with relevant Confined Space training or certification an asset.
- Valid CSCS or equivalent construction safety card, or willingness to obtain one.
- Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and industry best practices for scaffold access work.
- Strong physical fitness and the ability to lift, carry, and handle scaffold components throughout the workday.
- Attention to detail, ability to read and follow scaffold plans, and strong problem-solving skills on site.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with supervisors, safety personnel, and other trades.
- Previous experience in industrial or commercial construction environments is preferred.
- Willingness to comply with company safety policies and participate in ongoing training and certification updates.
