Role Description This full time and/or part-time, on-site Security Guard / Concierge Guard role is based in Toronto, ON. The Security Guard / Concierge Guard is responsible for monitoring premises, controlling access, and ensuring the safety and security of residents, visitors, and property. Daily tasks include greeting and assisting visitors, verifying identification, responding to inquiries, and providing clear information about building policies and procedures. The role also involves conducting regular security patrols, observing and reporting suspicious activities, completing incident and shift reports, and cooperating with law enforcement or emergency services when required. The guard is expected to maintain a professional presence, follow established protocols, and support a safe, welcoming environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service abilities to interact professionally with residents, visitors, and clients.
- Candidates should possess Physical Security and Private Security skills to monitor premises, control access, and respond to security incidents effectively.
- Candidates should possess Personnel Security awareness to support safe conduct, protect confidential information, and follow security policies.
- Valid provincial security guard license and compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform patrols for extended periods, and to respond calmly in emergencies.
- Strong observation, reporting, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and reliability.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Previous experience in security, concierge, or customer-facing roles is an asset; additional training in conflict management or first aid/CPR is preferred.
This position has a starting wage of $17.95 per hour.
