Saguenay Port Authority

The Port of Saguenay is the only public port in the Saguenay-Lac St Jean region. With its year-round deep-water port facilities and direct access to major North American rail and highway networks, the Saguenay Port Authority truly lies at the heart of development in northern Quebec. With one of the largest port industrial complexes recognized by the government of Quebec in its latest Marine Strategy, with more than 1,000 hectares of industrial land available close to the port facilities, it is one of the most important economic engines in the region and provides that region’s main access-way to major international markets. The Port of Saguenay is therefore an important nationally recognized development tool that shows respect for its community and the environment in its operations and developments.
