أسسها الشيخ عبدالعزيز قاسم كانو في العام 1975م لتمثيل مصالح عدة شركات ملاحية رائدة تسير رحلاتها الى موانئ الخليج العربي.
وفي العام 1982 توسعت انشطتها لتشمل الأعمال التجارية والهندسية بما في ذلك التركيب والتشغيل في مجال النفط والغاز ، والكهرباء ، والمياه ، والبتروكيماويات ، والانشطة البحرية ، والتعدين ، وصناعات اخرى متنوعة.
تتخذ "سايت" من الدمام مقراً رئيسياً ولها فروع في كل من الرياض ، جدة ، ينبع، الجبيل مما يمكنها من خدمة عملائها في مختلف مناطق المملكة العربية السعودية بالإضافة الى مملكة البحرين ، دولة قطر ، الامارات العربية المتحدة وسلطنة عمان.
Founded in the Year 1975 by Shaikh Abdulaziz Qassim Qassim Kanoo to represent the interests of several leading shipping companies in the Arabian Gulf.
In 1982, SAIT expanded its business to include Commercial and Engineering activities in the fields of Oil & Gas, Power utilities, Water, Petrochemicals, Marine, Mining and Ancillary Industries.
SAIT's head office is in Dammam with branch offices in Riyadh, Jeddah, Yanbu & Jubail to cover the entire Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in addition to other GCC countries viz, Kingdom of Bahrain, State of Qatar, U.A.E. and Sultanate of Oman.
