Sam&Sain Media, part of Sam&Sain Co., makes short-form videos and carousels for owner-led restaurants, shops and service businesses in Toronto. We're looking for a freelance videographer to film them.
The role
You'll turn a creative brief into short vertical videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook and YouTube Shorts, and take photos for carousel posts. The work is short-form, not long YouTube videos, documentaries or films.
It's freelance: we book you for a shoot when we need one. There are no set weekly hours.
What you'll do
- Plan shoots and shot lists around the brief, the location and the people involved.
- Film vertical footage with clean audio and good lighting, and take stills for carousels.
- Edit for the hook, pacing, captions, colour and sound.
- Work with our team and clients, take feedback and deliver organised files on schedule.
What we're looking for
- A portfolio of short-form videos you filmed and edited, with your part in each made clear.
- Confidence with cameras, lighting, audio and editing software.
- Good judgement on set, clear communication and reliable follow-through.
- A feel for what holds attention on social: hooks, pacing, trends and sound.
Experience with food, hospitality, products or interviews is useful. If your portfolio is only long-form work, this role isn't the right fit.
